Black Tail Deer’s main food is growing tips of shrubs and trees, grass, clover, other herbacious plants, fruits, nuts, acorns, lichens, fungi and crops.<\/p>\n

If you have a problems with the Black Tail\u00a0Deer eating plants and flowers\u00a0in your garden or yard the following is several suggestions to do:<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0 7′\u00a0or greater fence to keep them out.
\n2)\u00a0\u00a0 Deer Repellent – Several of these on the market.\u00a0 A good one is “DeerAway” by Havahart..
\n3)\u00a0 \u00a0Homemade Deer Repellent Recipe”<\/strong>
\nMix in 1\u00a0gal. tank sprayer
\n2 beaten\u00a0& strained eggs (remove strings surrounding the yolks).
\n1 cup of milk, yogurt, buttermilk, sour milk,or powdered milk.
\n2 tsp. Tabasco sauce or carjenne pepper
\n20 drops essential oil of clove, cinnamon or eucalyptus.
\n1 tsp cooking oil or dormant oil
\n1 tsp liquid dish soap\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Top\u00a0off tank with\u00a0water and pump it up.\u00a0 Shake sprayer occasionally & mist onto dry foliage.\u00a0 lasts 2-4\u00a0weeks in dry weather.

Issaquah Garden Club
\nThe Issaquah Garden Club was formed in November 1928 and is one of the oldest garden clubs in the state. They participated in their first town clean-up in April 1929 and held their first flower show in June 1929. Members today still continue to contribute and participate in several civic development projects in Issaquah and the surrounding community. The Club\u00a0featured a Dynamic Dainty Dimensions Flower Show, a Victory Garden Display and had\u00a0sample containers of planted food gardens for\u00a0Earth Day, April 18, 2009. The event was held at Pickering Barn<\/p>\n
